Factory workers sequence

In the cafeteria, during a pause (compulsory rest for the workers of the complex) a worker, let's call him Pau,l moans about a request that he has made but received no answer.

Paul : for the last 5 ½ years I have been hitting the A pianissimo chain (a chain producing metallic notes)
Another worker : We know Paul that you received a lump sum bonus at the end of the year
Paul : Shut up, the was just the complete collection of Wagner's work (he uncovers his ears hidden by hat and ear protectors, through working the Chain piano his ears have grown and developed listening power and become hyper sensitive). I can't even use my prize.
Others : Your right Paul, Yell !

Quality control Sequence

Small wagons, rolling on a silent track, transport packets of different notes. Each wagon has it's own sound, it is a suttle soft escaping sound and then now and again a sound occurs that does not correspond with the others.
The quality controller chases these sounds, jumping towards the suspected wagons with an annoyed, intrigued attitude, he searches for them and grabs the disobliging sound that he throws victoriously in the bin.

The visit of the central unit

Once the public have put on the adequate clothing, with factory array : ear plugs, safety helmet, goggles, the can biggen their guided tour of the unit , round the maze of machines, a guide demonstrates the unit and it sound production, false, flat and disobedient notes are tortured.

The general idea is that in this hyper industrial setting ( sounds, the smell of hot oil, the factory workers) the music or rather the tools or materials used to produce the music are only of mechanical interest.

They decline, in an industrial language in a strange and loud environment, processing musical notes that are not a simple sounds straight from a traditional sound production line like sardine tins.

The sequences used are interpreted by actors who must fully integrate the team of factory workers in the complex ( to avoid over obvious theater gimmicks)
On the other hand, the spectators that visit the complex must have short inter active sequences in each of the different units ( ex. the security team can jump out of nowhere to stop a leak causing the loss of sound…)
